Last night, one of my sites developed a problem, timing out when I attempt to load Edit any page. Other installations on the same web server are unaffected. It seemed to work fine until last night. The only thing I did on this site prior to the occurrance was tweak of Adsense blocks.

I tried disabling some modules, as well as the Adsense blocks mentioned above

No relevant error message were found in Apache or system logs.

Optimized tables in PhpMyAdmin.

Tried from a different computer.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

In addition to the above troubleshooting measures, I forgot to mention that in MS Internet Explorer, the page continues trying to load, seemingly indefinitely as the status bar says, "Website found, waiting for reply."

Firefox, otoh, says, "The page isn't redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

I tried adding my URL under Tools / Options / Privacy / Cookies / Exceptions; again with no change in response.

The part about this that particularly puzzles me is that it doesn't seem to have followed any changes in the Drupal setup.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Many thanks,

Tom
