the update shows records being deleted. after looking at the site I noticed only translated nodes missing images. looking at the files table indicates the those records are missing. image files still exsist.

ron collins commenteddoes this mean i shouldn't update if i have i18n translated nodes with images? i'm currently running 1.1 and feel pretty far out of the loop but this sounds like a big problem.

ron collins commentedi just tried the update on one of my multilingual sites and indeed, upgrading does break the images. there is no error reported during the upgrade. image nodes that are translated loose the image.
let me know if more info is needed to fix this. any multilingual sites can not upgrade the image module.

sunI don't know which insane approach i18n is or was taking to re-associate images to node translations, but Image module expects a 1:1 relationship between a node and an image file.
Sorry, I don't see a way to fix this in Image module.
