I also experience this in Safari, but intermittently. If anyone can provide advice on how to fix the problem I'll gladly take another look.

I just had this problem with a standard website but this should apply to the drupal module.

you will need the following line of code on the flash script.

For what ever reason this will allow your flash to function on mac browser...

Hope it helps....

line of code...oops

<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />

can you please specify exactly where the line of script should appear, I am getting a varied return of results as mentioned in the top post, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - very bizarre!

I've seen that problem before that concowboy reports, but this module doesn't actually use any Flash. The solution he suggest doesn't apply to this module as it is entirely javascript based.

I did think the module was java based, hence the query on the
inclusion.

So to re-open the issue, on FF and IE CCK slideshow works fine, yet its success is varied on Safari, sometimes it will work sometimes not. I cannot find a pattern to why it does sometimes and not others. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. A page where this is deployed is:

All of the 'services' and 'portfolio' sections of the sample site run the same format, please feel free to browse for other example of the issue on Safari

I'm experiencing the same problem in Safari - i.e. no slideshow appears. However, I have found that the cck slideshow will appear if I follow these steps:

1) visit page with the cck slideshow (on first visit there is no slideshow)
2) navigate to some other page
3) go back to the page that has the slideshow and the slideshow now appears.

Any thoughts?

looks like the javascript isnt loaded.

perhaps you have an own page template for your slideshow-page?

The CCK Slideshow module is no longer maintained.
