Sounds like an interesting project - Detailed documentation, especially with usage examples or a walk through would be much appreciated.

The main documentation page for the project is at http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dcgv33zb_25d26w5n which includes a quick-start on using the dast-patch bundled build file. The docs are still WIP but I am actively working on them and on the project. Several articles on DAST have been posted to the Soc-2007 group - http://groups.drupal.org/soc-2007 during the summer period - (see for example my Diving into Phing articles @ http://groups.drupal.org/node/5400.) You can get access to them by searching for DAST in groups.drupal.org. You can also checkout the DAST wiki page at which has a lot of background material on the motivation, research of existing solutions and overall objectives of the project: http://groups.drupal.org/node/3913.
