Hi,
I just did a view based on panels 2 alpha. Works fine.
On that page you want it seems the page is divided in half, the top of the page is the introduction of the site and the posts below on the lower part of the page made are a view. What I would do:
- would define a view for the posts
- would create a node (e.g. a static page) with the site introduction (top part of the page)
- would use panels2, Two column stacked, and would add the site intro node to the top part of the panel, the postings view to the bottom, and would leave the 2 vertical columns blank.
- the url of this newly created panel would be set to be my the front page (from Site configuration > Site information > default front page)
help
is there any way I might be ably to talk you into walking me through this. I could pay you a little or I can send you out some clothing. We own a clothing company. I am really trying to learn this stuff but what you jsut told me to do makes no sense to me.
Thanks

using an alpha version of a module on a production site, is well...... not the best thing to do. Be cautious.

2 Column Scheme--
Hi,
Good solution--I'm using Panels 1, and I was just wondering why you might choose to use the full bottom section to post the two rows of posts instead of the two columns section? What are the advantages to this--more fluid coding, etc?
Thanks
