installed, loged out, now only access denied?

I'm new to Drupal. I use 2 other CMS platforms just fine. So far this has been a pain.
I finally get an error free install of 7 (after 5 tries and no support to be found anywhere)
So I hit 'log out' and ever since I only get an 'access denied' message with no login box. tried other browsers using /?q=admin etc.
If I need to be a coder to run this CMS just tell me and i'll go back to where I came from.
any ideas?

Navigate to yoursite.com/user (or yoursite.com/?q=user if Clean URLs have not been enabled).
