on a fresh 6.26 install, i get :
Unknown column 'l10n_status' in 'field list' query: INSERT INTO sdbx1_locales_target (lid, language, translation, plid, plural, l10n_status) VALUES (3221, 'fr', 'Impossible d\'enregistrer le fichier %download_link vers %tmpfile.', 0, 0, 0) in /var/www/sandboxd6/sites/all/modules/l10n_update/l10n_update.locale.inc on line 369.

is this a permission issue ? it's on lamp server 12.04..

The module is not installed correctly. Please try do disable + uninstall + install the module.
I will review the .install code (again) to see how this could have happened. Did you upgrade from an older version or did you install l10n_update for the very first time on this installation?

There are no abnormalities in the code. This error has not been reported further. Closing the issue.
If you have more details determining the cause of this problem, feel free to re-open the issue.
