Are you planing on moving
Are you planing on moving your own site to Drupal then? It's currently in dirty Joomla at the moment (spit spit) !

Ixis (UK): Drupal support, Drupal hosting.
Nope
As a matter of fact I also do free installation for Joomla, Wordpress, Xoops, Mediawiki, Moodle, phpBB .It's a free country, right? (at least where I live)
ps: don't spit in public, it's impolite, and unhygienic

Ahem.....
Can you by any chance do a freebie Drupal/moodle integration for me ? Do you offer hosting service ? Can't get this to work on my server.
One at a time
The second question is easier for me to answer. No I don't do web hosting; but I have for your sake placed a link to a reliable hosting company at www.websesame.co.uk/drupalhost .
Can I do freebie Drupal/Moodle integration for you ? I believe the objective of such an installation would be to make money. Why do you feel so bad about me making a bit of money too ? There is a spiritual law concerning this I believe ( sow nothing , reap nothing) , and I wish Drupal users observe this when they use Drupal an modules and neglect to give something back to the development team. But that aside if I have some free time, I will be pleased to do it for you free. send me your email and we can discuss this further.
I have received some very annoying responses to this post, all I think quite childish. As a matter of fact I am a web developer and also a web entrepreneur. I am not a one-trick horse. I have more than dozen web sites of my own on which I have deployed several technologies and frameworks as I think fit for each specific site. For example I get guys insisting that I use Drupal for shopping carts (???) when osCommerce will do the job for me in no time ; or to use Drupal for my "digg-like" site when Pligg will get me moving in a wink. We are missing the point of "open source" , which is reusable code , to make work faster for specific applications; and not one master script that solves all the problems in the world. It will not only be delusive; it will also be retrogressive. I wrote a Drupal book (www.powerpublish.co.uk/drupal) and many wondered what my qualifications are to write such a book (I am a technical writer). I am sure the Drupal team is not looking for such short-sighted evangelism anyway. Peace.

Chill
Relax friend; it takes all sorts to make up the world. Everybody gets their own share of nutters everyday. Incidentally I am also a writer ... so I understand how difficult it is for you to be a "one trick horse". I am indeed awed by your many talents and this is sincere respect . Peace
noble, but
websesame,
Your offer to help people for free is very noble, but based on the number of snide comments it makes me wonder if it's worth the aggravation. Unfortunately some people don't appreciate the value of one's expertise unless they are forced to pay for it.
Thanks
I don't personally have a need for this, but I wanted to still say thanks for the offer to try and counteract some of the contrariness on this thread. :)

No regret
As a matter of fact, I am just putting finishing touches to an "invite-some-friends" module for Drupal , and should be releasing it for public use by the end of the month (still trying to sort out the spamming threat angle) . I am already running a version of it on my "name of competitor that must not be mentioned here" site, and also a trial at one of my Drupal sites : www.virtualchapel.org . Still a bit of work to do there . To all who would want to know (though I owe nobody any explanation) I am still running my old system because I need a shopping cart system which supports downloadabe items. Once I finish developing that, I may be more inclined to switch to Drupal. My book Adventures in Drupal is still available for free download at my site or from www.powerpublish.co.uk/drupal. Some people prefer to progress by assassinating those in front; others by helping others forward. I chose the latter. I have no regret.

Thanks for the advice
At the risk of appearing patronizing, I can testify that you advised us to change our Mambo site (www.redbridgereview.co.uk) to Drupal, because Mambo/Joomla lacked the functionalities that we wanted from this site (unrestricted number of user groups, etc ) . We like what you have done with our new Drupal site so far (within a couple of days !!) and can't wait for it to be delivered. Thanks
drupal mentoring
This topic makes me wonder if drupal.org should consider implementing some sort of mentoring program... kind of like eBay's system for assisting new users.
Modules
Have you looked at http://drupal.org/project/invite and http://drupal.org/project/quickfile ?

Not what I want
Thanks, but they function quite differently from what I have in mind.

Before contacting me
I am always willing to do basic installation and configuration free of charge whenever I have the time . However before calling me please note that installation and basic configuration is perhaps the easiest part of the journey. A lot of people get the impression that they are able "to do the rest by myself" , and keep coming back when they become unstuck. The truth is that if you can't handle installation , I think you are unlikely to be able to cope with modules and (sigh!) themeing.
If you have a lot of other functionalities other than the basic you should think seriously of getting someone to do them for you for a fee.
