hi,
my developer has disappeared and i only have back end access to edit content for my drupal site and no cpanel login info. i have full site owner permission but can't update drupal, modules, and get an error message when i try to upload a new theme. any suggestions for getting full access to my site again without having to start over? also is there any way to be able to backup my database and files without having access to Cpanel?

If you pay for the hosting,
If you pay for the hosting, the hosting company should be able to give you access to cpanel, that should give you access to phpmyadmin, which gives you access to the users table and a backdoor for changing the email address of the admin account at which point you can use Drupal to request a new password
