I don't have any server to run off of, i copied the files to my computer. I have dreamweaver CS3, now how do I begin editing the site? I read the facts about dreamweaver and edited the appropriate files, now to run a site of a local copy how do I start that?

I just want to edit themes and such in my spare time offline...

Any suggestions?

To run Drupal locally, you need server software such as Apache. For more details on what you'll need to install on your computer, check out the system requirements.

First of all, download xampp http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

When setup, you have a perfect server running.

When you have setup Drupal, you can look at the forums and in the handbook of Drupal to learn how to edit files.
