Added a test article and then tried to find it. In Site content block I clicked on [All Content] no luck. Then went to
admin/build/views/SiteContentAll/edit and found that Story (among others was excluded. Would recommend including ALL or changing the 'All Content' title

also as I am now experimemting with using image/imagecache my first attemt failed as it said "JPG not an allowed format only .jpg, .png...etc) need to alter that but probarbly more a note to myself

A few content types were excluded from the (admittedly misnamed) "All Content" view, as they were types of content that would be used for static pages (in the case of the Page) or because they didn't have an explicit place in the day to day work of the site (in the case of the Story).

IIRC, only a few roles (the siteadmin and maintainer?) have the rights to create stories. The "All Content" view was designed to give a picture of the learning activity taking place on the site.

This is something that needs documentation, for sure, and probably some rethinking as to the name of the menu item.
