The "Global Views Support" option is not explained clearly, and can easily cause troubles with Views listings. For example, I wanted a Views list of nodes under certain criteria, locale not being one of those. I was only getting nodes that were in my current locale. It took me a little while to track down localizernode_db_rewrite_sql, only to realize it wasn't a code bug, but the "Global Views Support" option.
I don't know if maybe this is not the intended function of this option, and maybe it actually is a code bug?
To me, "Global Views Support" sounds like something I want turned on if I am using Views...
Thank you,

Roberto Gerola commentedI have changed the description of the option to :
"Filter all views contents by the current language"
Let me know if this is enough to avoid confusion.
Thanks.
