When using image_gallery module and with multiple pictures in an image gallery
bar with previous/next and page change shows under photo captions on firefox and IE7, but not IE6 ?

Does so with garland theme and other themes. ?

I tried updating from 1.0 to 1.4 with the update.php aftewards - no difference.

clarification, when I said under, I meant the photocaptions are overlapping the selection for page change when multiple pages in image gallery, and an older verison web browser like IE6 did not experience this, but IE7 and firefox do.

THE FIX...

I had to go into THEME configure, and disable "DISPLAY POST INFORMATION" for image.

Unfortunately the posting information like DATE crawls over the pager.

Would be nice if the post information would just push the theme lower, but
for some reason the post information is not considered in the position of the pager.

Sorry, unfortunately this request is way too specific. Please have a look at the issue queue - Image maintainers are buried already. You might want to try to get further support at http://drupal.org/support. Additionally, the answer to your question might be covered in the handbooks at http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/image already.
If you were able to solve this issue on your own in the meantime, you might want to add the involved steps to this closed issue, so other users searching for a similar solution might find it.
