Hey, I realize you are working on version 2.x, but I was wondering if it would be easy enough to add the ability for PHP to rename a file as it uploads to remove space and non alphanumeric characters and replace them with underscores or dashes.

Both UNIX and web browsers tend to work nicer with this, and unfortunately those doing data entry don't "get" why their file "Mom's cake recipie.doc" isn't working after they upload it.

Thoughts?
