I imagine this is a bug in our 'setup all the options' script, rather than a bug in project module, since Drupal.org is working and all.. ;) So I've put this here instead.
None of the project browsing options are working. When I click Downloads > Modules > Developer (3), the page just reloads and gives me the category listing. Browse by Name, Browse by Date similarly show nothing.

In my zeal to get the project* settings to match d.o, I enabled the "Browse projects by release versions" setting (which you'll find a checkbox for at admin/project/project-release-settings). Unfortunately, that setting causes much hell to break loose if you don't have any releases. ;)
So, the profile is now fixed. However, feel free to convert this issue into a (minor?) bug report against project that more gracefully handles this case.
Cheers,
-Derek

gitarald commentedFor me, still the "Browse by Category" are (still) not working.
When I click Downloads > Modules > Developer (3), the page just reloads and gives me the category listing again.
The Browse by Name, Browse by Date tabs work as expected, though.

webchickHm. I'm not seeing that... could you make sure you have the very newest 5.x-compatible version of the testing profile (plus project, project_issue, devel, et al), and do another fresh install? I just tried and it works here.
