Hello - I'd like to ask about the installation of the FCKEditor.

I downloaded the module, and got that unzipped into the right place, and the read me says to unzip the downloaded editor into the lib directory. However, there are already some files present there, and I am hesitating as to what I need to do. Do I overwrite the files in fckeditor/lib/ ?

To note, I tried installing it without doing the last step, thinking that the files in the editor folder might work, but it does not. I get lots of 404 messages in the log.

Please advise.

Hi - I managed to get it to work by installing the CVS version.
I did NOT have to do as the readme file says, and install the editor from the FCKeditor site.
Should I do that, or, is what is included enough...

By the way, THANK YOU for making this available. It seems to be running a lot faster than htmlarea.

Yes, I found this line confusing as well,

" 2. Download FCKeditor 2.0 from http://www.fckeditor.net and copy the
distribution files to {DRUPAL_HOME}/modules/fckeditor/lib."

Also the features listed in the readme.txt are from the contact directory module, not FCKeditor.
