When viewing the heartbeat activity page and clicking on 'Older messages' link at the bottom, it no more loads the messages. Rather, I get "JSON.parse: bad escaped character " in firebug console. I am using jquery 1.7 FYI through jquery_update module.

Likely a duplicate of the core issue #1086098: D6 JSON is total garbage - Create RFC 4627 compliant HTML safe JSON.
