I need to have a way of linking to audio podcast/music. Most providers such as YouTube/google video INSIST that the file contains video. Could you recommend any providers that host JUST audio files and will the emfield module be supporting audio in future

For sound/music/podcast services http://odeo.com/ is the obvious one.
I think you should post an request an providers for odeo 'plug-in' for it.

would be good though as there is no sound provider-services avaliable on emfield yet
maybe your post can be considered as an request for odeo

another embed service could be the playlist embed format
