My bad experiences with a blog software leads me to ask for a “raw text” filter, which would just not make any change to the input. It could be done with deactivating every filter and allowing no HTML at all in “HTML filter”, but then it would not be possible to allow HTML in another input format. Since I plan to both offer “raw text” and full HTML, this is an issue.

You can create a new input format and assign no filters to it. That's as raw as you can get. If you want to strip HTML from it, you can add just the HTML filter to that new input format and set it to allow no HTML at all. You don't need to touch the existing Filtered HTML input format. Each input format has its own configuration for the HTML filter, so they don't bump into each other.

You mean HTML filtering is per-input format, not general? I did not even check this, as I was sue it is not the case. Thanks!
