Hello!
I can't log in as admin in Drupal on a server of FreeHostia. I have to done a file (php.ini) and I have to change some lines in the .htacces archive, but now, using Firefox, when I log in as admin it appears a white page (with URL www.mydomain.com/?q=user) and it takes a minute.
I don't say what can I do, but I'm very angry with FreeHosti. If noone has a solution I want to know good servers to install Drupal.
Thanks, and sorry for my english (I'm spanish).

I have just tried to open
I have just tried to open freehostia.com and they are off-line. Maybe they have also problem with a server on which your Drupal site is running. Have you tried to contact their technical support? Anyhow, if you are looking for a new hosting provider take a look on the Drupal Hosting article at the themegarden.org.

I've contacted to technical support
Freehostia's Technical support doesn't know the solution. I can log in as admin in Drupal if I use IE, but if I use Firefox...
Thanks.

sounds like a cookie issue, have your cleared you cookies in FF ?
Is not problem of cookies
I have probed with Konqueror, Firefox, Epiphany and Opera in Linux, and I can't log in. With Firefox in Windows nomore. Buf, if I log in with IE in Windows I can. I can too if I change the user agent.
Sounds nice. I am agree with

same issue
I tried to install drupal as well on freehostia.com and got the exact same result: the white page when trying to login.
Going through other posts here I suspect that there is a memory limit which is too low but changing this limit in .htaccess or setings.php didn't help.
Mind you that there is another issue with freehostia (and almost any free hosting site). Most (if not all) free hosting sites have sendmail disabled because this would be very popular for spammers.
So you can create your first user, but not use email verification for extra users.
Small Update - Freehostia has fixed this
Small update for those who may face issues ever again....
Create a support ticket and they answer within ONE HOUR... :)
Freehostia supports drupal very well.. they either do these settings or guide you how to go about.
I was asked to create a php.ini file in the folder where DRUPAL is installed. It works pretty well now.
Kiwi
could you please tell me what
could you please tell me what they asked you to write in your php.ini ? I've got the same problem and i can't fix it

The thread is over a year old. I suggest filing a support ticket with the host.
I had this problem with Freehostia too- try this:
After many hours of research, found this comment that mostly solved the problem:

Initially the page is still blank upon submit with FireFox, Chrome, or Safari, but appears when refreshed. IE works all along.
what did they asked you to
what did they asked you to write in php.ini??? was it something like this:
memory_limit = 96M
