Can anyone tell me If the admin. can receive emails whenever there are new account registration? If yes, how?

I have searched round for this feature and can't see it in the documentation or in any modules. Our group is quite small and new registrations will not be that common so I don't want a moderator to have to check all the time for new users.

Surely it must be possible to send an email to an address when someone requests a new account.

Am I missing something or can someone tell me how this is done?

yes this would be a userful feature. sounds like a pretty simple module to write, but this should really be in core.

The advanced user module could be helpful in this regard, the 5.x version if still in development so not sure it would be good to go in a prod site.
