Great Module - is exactly what I need for this site.

Am having a bit of trouble with the actual permissions being applied however. I have created the groups, created the users, created the group editor role, subscribed to the group, applied the role to the user, everything looks good.

When I log in as that user though the options to create content do not appear on the group menu initially as expected. If I click on the calendar or forum option first, then the create options do appear and I am able to create content.

Also, when I go in to view the content to edit it, the edit option doesn't appear.

Here are the OG Modules Installed:

Organic groups 5.x-3.1
OG calendar 5.x-1.1
OG forum 5.x-2.x-dev
OG User Roles 5.x-1.5

The Group Editor Role does give permissions to access content, create story content, edit own story content, and edit story content.

Here is some data from the Status Report:

The site originally sat in a subdirectory but it was moved to root and functional before I installed this module.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Nothing that you've mentioned rings a bell so far.

You say that you created an editor role and assigned a group member to that role using "Configure member roles". Then, when you log into the group home page as that group member, you do not see any "create" links on the group home page menu. And, this happens every time you log into the group home page. You must first click on "group forums" or "group calendar" to see the create links on the group home page menu. Is this correct?

What is the url of your group home page?

Also, you wouldn't happen to also have TAC/OG Integration checked in OG User Roles settings?

Yes - I think that describes what is happening. The Create Content links do not appear on the group menu unless I actually visit the group forums or group calendar first.

Also, the editor doesn't appear to have any edit privileges, even for their own content. I've even tried going to a specific content node URL with the /edit appended on to it and get access denied errors.

The URL of the group home page is:

http://eparkforest.org/node/45

I had renamed it at one point but removed the custom name as I thought that might be contributing to the problem.

I do not have TAC enabled.

Still no clues here. Try downloading the latest version and weighting it heavier than the node and og modules.

I've tried to duplicate your problem using the og module verisons you use, but everything works fine. Works on Drupal 5.2 as well.

I really can't imagine an environment which would cause the problem you are having. If the problem persists, you'll need to let me know what other modules you are running, in particular access control modules.

I really appreciate your help in trying to identify the issue. As it was a new site and not yet launched, I just did a fresh install of 5.2 with the new modules and all appears to be working well now.

This module makes OG so much more useful for me - thanks for working so diligently on it
