Greetings,
I heard that UTF encoding is not very good for Japanese or Chinese languages. I don't have enough information but the question is who this problem is solved in Drupal (in case this problem really exists)?
I wonder, did anybody try to develop web sites using these languages?

The only problem I know with
The only problem I know with UTF is the size of the page as every CJK character is encoded with 3 or even 4 bytes but today I think it's not a big problem. Look at google.co.jp, it's in UTF8.
Drupal can handle UTF properly too:

yes, there should be some issues in it... i still see a lot of ct chinese sites using Big5 encoding
