Greetings,

I heard that UTF encoding is not very good for Japanese or Chinese languages. I don't have enough information but the question is who this problem is solved in Drupal (in case this problem really exists)?

I wonder, did anybody try to develop web sites using these languages?

Thanks in advance.

The only problem I know with UTF is the size of the page as every CJK character is encoded with 3 or even 4 bytes but today I think it's not a big problem. Look at google.co.jp, it's in UTF8.
Drupal can handle UTF properly too:

Thank you!
Page size is really not a problem. I hope there will be no other problems ...

Is it just a legacy issue or is there an important reason for this?
