Is it somehow possible to sell a product that grants taxonomy access to the user who purchase the product?

I am currently building a webshop and would like to implement the possibility to buy access to content from a certain period of time.
Say for instance a product giving the user access to all content created in June 2012.

I have been struggling around with rule and taxonomy access control but I can't seem to grant taxonomy access through rules.
I am using the following modules:

  • Drupal core 6.26
  • Rules 6.x-1.4
  • Taxonomy Access Control Lite 6.x-1.6
  • Ubercart 6.x-2.9
  • UC Rules 6.x-1.0-rc1

Hope somebody can be of assistance.

In Ubercart, you can sell Roles as a means of granting permissions. If you want to use some other access control mechanism, you might have to implement that as an Ubercart product feature similar to how uc_roles works. If you simply want to assign a taxonomy vocabulary/term to a user using rules, that's a question for the Rules issue queue.

I am actually looking for something similar to how uc_roles work with the possibility to add taxonomy access for a certain taxonomy term to the user.
I will be selling different products for each month so using roles I would have to create a new role for each month (the next many years).
You are probably right, I have to ask i the rules issue queue regarding granting taxonomy access to a user.
