this is sorta a wishlist item.

i've never had email enabled on sites with external auth. Do they normally send out emails?
i could probably put then in when i get a moment.

actually why is this important?

The welcome email mails out the password, and the reset password url and such.
But we don't have an email address at the time of signup.

Most of the information isn't very useful as an email.

I think either way, since we don't have an actual email address at register, I don't think we can send out an email.

after registration using the facebook
it gets directed to the user account where user can edit his email
also it is important to send welcome instruction like

your blog address
what can u do using the site
instruction for using drupal id on other sites etc

I agree with abqaria on the email issue. It may not be useful for you, but regarding a module's usefulness, my theory at least is that everything should be made with the most user-friendly intentions in mind. Otherwise, these brilliant modules will only appeal to the small portion of Internet users who know code and don't need their hand held through these sites. Unfortunately, it seems that although most Drupal developers are brilliant, many don't seem willing to extend basic usability to the common user. This kinda makes this whole system an elitist institution in my honest opinion. Possibly why Facebook itself is so popular and taking over the scene? Just a thought....

abqaria - October 24, 2007 - 16:58

i did not find the application to remove it.
i accessed your site, however when i added the application again it did not prompt me to add the email and redirected me to "confirm your email to complete registration"

yea, it behaves exactly that way when you create a new account normally.
I saw the log of the email going out, but its a dev server, so i highly suspect email servers block someemails from it.

I've uploaded new code, can you try that? its a non dev release.

Where can I get this code to work for 6.x-1.1?

I just need users who login with facebook to be asked for an email address
