Greetings,

I'm requesting expert guidance from drupal users on their recommendations for a "Drupal Driver's Manual" as they say so that I can keep the information nearby as I create and layout my website.

I am a non-technical DIY trying to set up my practice website as both an advertisementment medium as well as an information resource center for my clients and visitors. Therefore, I need something that is written in layman's terms and simplified for "dummies" like me.

Thanks and I look forward to your response.

BTW, the new RoopleTheme is GREAT!

Pro Dupal - is the best book out there that I know of. I would recommend it. It might be a little advanced for yourself but I think when buying books for Drupal it might be the one to go with either way.

You see it at amazon here

A very basic book that pretty much walks you through the upmost basics and just the layout of drupal is Drupal.

Drupal can start you on drupal
but I would recommend pro drupal. It has helped me out in many various ways.

#drupal-support IRC is a very good resource. Everyone seems to be pretty cool with help each other out.

Thanks for the kind words, csoak!

If you want to come up to speed really fast, just get Drupal up on a site and play. The Pro Drupal book mentioned is a great resource, and you should check it out. But really the best way is to just start doing it. Learn as you go. Ask questions on this forum (and the roopletheme forum if you like!) There are lot's of people willing to help. Make a few mistakes. Hit some walls and then figure out how to get around them. It's the only way that really works.

Good Luck!
