in http://drupal.org/node/45419 we are trying to find a way to add more than one signup state. if we succeed in this we'll probably end up wanting one changeable signup mail per event per signup state! This is going to be one messy sub-form in the event-create form. I propose to at least optionally replace per-event mails by per-signup-state mails throughout the site. Of course there should be tokens to insert date, title and autor of the event.
