Posting very long text content.

Is there a limit as to the length of a text content? I was posting a purely text content (about 4 pages of short bond sized word document) for a single post, and i was getting an error.
what seems to be the problem? is there a way to go about this without breaking it into several parts to post? is there a module for this?

Whatever is after the teaser line is cut off. It is very much frustrating as Drupal becomes useless for us without the possibility to post long articles. Doesn't seem to be the body row in the table as it is LONGTEXT. It doesn't matter also if there is a Visual Editor or not.
Two approaches to overcome
I don't know the main reason of the problem but some approaches may overcome.
I think there are two possible solutions for this problem. One of them is paging. By paging you can seperate the post to the pages. Other is CCK. With CCK you can define a multiple textfield. Set it as your main content and cancel the body part.
