un-correct file size in upload.module..?

I posted this already in the forums a couple of days ago - but maybe this is actually the more correct spot to post it.. - ..so here we go:

I'm using the attachments - and I wanted to hide the 'SIZE' from being displayed - actually only because it seems to display always only the original file size and never the correct file size of the re-rendered file.. - ..maybe I better try to explain step by step:

• the upload.module seems to be responsible for displaying the file size (and other details) of files that were uploaded through the attachments function..
• if images are uploaded +attached and re-rendered due to preferences made in the image.module (max.filesize+dimensions) the upload.module still seems to display the original filesize.. - ..which is not correct anymore..
• one way out (also for styling reasons) could be just to hide the uncorrect filesize.. - ..but where/how would be the correct function to do this..?
