I just discovered the panels module, I have no idea how such a gem could have gone unnoticed for so long, but it has, I am now wading in full on trying to grok panels and its implications to my D7 users. My Immediate needs are met in every way by simply installing the panels module, except for one. when I build a panel system I want the users to be able to customize the content they see in the panes page I create, I want them to move the content I allow around in the layout, and I want each user to have thier own customization. I doubt that I can do this out of the box, but I admit, there is too much to learn off the cuff to say that for sure I cant do it out of the box, I need a quick education. Meanwhile I realize I can set up and qualify variants so it would be very easy to allow my users to choose a simple, moderate or advanced version of a panel variant but I was hoping for just a bit more, can anyone suggest a good approach to this or are we talking about coding up a module here? Thanks for any and all advice!
