Hi,

With drupal 4.7 there was this solution with Panels and Meta tags: http://drupal.org/node/152666
Please make this solution also possible for Panels 2.0.
The 5.0 Meta tags should be ready for it.

Thanks in advance,
greetings,
Martijn

So far as I know, everything needed for the meta support is in Panels 2; all I had to do last time was to make sure the ID of the panel is available. Using Panels 2 is going to require work on the side of whatever is doing form alters etc to add the tags, and make sure they're stored in the right place

Hi,

I tried changing the nodewords.module (Meta tags) to work with panels 2: http://drupal.org/node/163019
I saw that you could use PID or DID as ID. And panels_page module is needed instead of the panels.module.

Which ID (PID or DID) is preferred when using the panels_page module regarding to other modules?
When using the panels_page.module, does this mean than the panels_node module gets it's own metatags, etc..?

Greetings,
Martijn

When using the panels_page.module, the pid is preferred. Also, in the next alpha, I hope to have panels pages named much like views are, so that there can be internally defined panels_pages that only hit the database when modified.

I think this API split may be an interesting (in the Confucian sense) development for nodewords, because I think this means you could end up with a number of very different modules that you want node words on. But you don't want to put them on all modules -- for example, panels_mini.module has no use for node words, as it never exposes a page. panels_page.module and panels_node.module, however, do.

I think panels_node.module will get nodewords through classic means, however, so for the moment you only have to worry about panels_pages.
