I am unable to get the most recent 7.x-3.x-dev release of Views Nivo Slider to work in Internet Explorer 9. On first load, with cleared cache, the slider simply doesn't appear in Internet Explorer. After I reload the page, the slider appears. I have not been able to reproduce this problem in Chrome and Firefox, but I can reproduce the problem in Internet Explorer.

Once the slider actually loads, the anchor links surrounding the slider images are not linking to content in IE as they do in Chrome and Firefox.

My drupal 7 site's nivo slider was working great until yesterday until I ran drush up to updated core and all contributed modules. Now the images are not displaying using image style preset.

I'm having a similar problem in IE8 and IE9, with version 6.x-2.x-dev. The slider flashes up (sometimes you can see it, then disappears. Reloading the page fixes the display, but obviously you can't expect every user to do that.

I have noticed that the caption often appears in a one-character wide column running way down the page, so I suspect there is a css problem with the width of some element. See sr.castlellc.com for the case (caption text is in white, so scroll way down to see it).

I too am having this problem. Exactly the same symptoms as aligm.
Though for me the problem is intermittent and I never see it when running on my local server - only when I upload it to the remote server.
I have tried setting widths to everything as described in older bug reports - this fixed the one-character wide column issue for the caption but images are still not present
6.x-2.x-dev. Problem is on IE9 and IE8.

With no resolution, I've had to replace this slider with another (Views Slideshow DDBLock).

As a result, the case linked to above will no longer show the problem.

Please do not forget to update to the newest nivo-formatter. There was a bug that caused not displaying the slider in IE9.
Hope this helps someone. It took me hours to run in wrong directions till I went back to look for other components that could have caused it. Uff.

As pointed out in #6, try the latest version of nivo slider and report back here.

I find that errors such as this are often caused by "block caching" or similar being enabled under performance settings. Javascript Aggregation can also affect it. If #6 and #7 don't work, play with those settings.

Updating the Nivo Slider plugin (I updated to 2.7.1) in my sites/all/libraries folder fixed the problem. The problem did not seem to be related to cache/performance settings. Thanks for your help.
