godaddy has it as an add on option...no need to download it and install it.

simply sign in to your account
go to "my hosting account"
open your control panel
under content choose "metropolis"
under community tools choose "drupal"
click "install now"
pick your domain name
it will now ask you to make a database name and password
click next
it will ask you to choose a directory.
click next
choose your admin name and password and click finish.

shortly drupal will be installed and active on your site.

I tried this last week. What a great way to try out Drupal.
I took a site I already had hosted at goDaddy, and had Metropolis install Drupal there.

Since Metropolis did the installation, I have no idea what was included or excluded. The reason I am curious is because there was no image support.

Looking around, I decided to install "TinyMCE WYSIWYG EDITOR".
Although I don't think I have that completely working yet, it did tell me that it required the "Image Assist" module.
I installed Image Assist, but it said I needed to install "Image".

Now I'm set. However, it is a bit messy. I'm not sure what causes what, but I now have: Image, Image Assist, Image Attach, Image Gallery, and Image Import.

When making new content, I saw a link for adding an image (Image Assist). However, I didn't really like how it popped up a new web page, and defaults to using pictures that have already been updated. You then have to click the Upload button, -and- resize the page. I could use it ok, but my users won't like it.

So I disabled that and went with "Image Attach". This is much more like it, it's in a format my users will understand. Unfortunately it only allows you to add one picture per entry!?

Any suggestion would be nice. However, I did get sidetracked. My main question is: "Does the vanilla install of Drupal really come with no Image support?" I find that really hard to believe.

Thanks.
