What would you think about these two modules, developed by FunnyMonkey for their theme Julio?

Feature Set, to enable or disable sets of features or modules.
CSS Options, to expose some CSS options settings via the theme settings.

CSS Options is kind of an easier version of CSS Injector, where only specific options can be changed. Could perhaps be used for the transparent overlays and their colors.

Feature Set could be used to enable or disable staff page, slideshow, or even CiviCRM and entire modules.

Daniel,
Thanks for bringing up yet another option for modifying CSS through Drupal on the Easy Kit.

Between your suggestions and those of Aric Ruble at AccessVision we have a number of choices.

It would be best if we can narrow down our selection on CSS to just what we think is most important.

We have had CSS Injector, CSS Options, Context, Delta, and Sweaver all as suggestions.

I am personally trying to get up to speed on editing the Easy Distribution profile and committing it back to DO so that I can add some of these modules. When I can do that, the Easy kit will get updated with some of your great suggestions.

@westis @kreynen @swray - any thoughts o Feature Set in the Easy?

This module aims to improve the user experience for users that may be overwhelmed by the standard modules and features admin pages.

If users are overwhelmed by the Drupal admin interfaces at the easy level, then they should probably look at other solutions.

Feature Set is designed for Software as a Service (SaaS) installs where users don't really learn or understand Features. It is designed to enable users WITHOUT an admin level account to active several features without any real understanding of what they are doing. Using Feature Set would require someone else to create the sets. We don't have a large number of "someone elses". We need some of the people who start using Features at the Easy level with Crew Connect to start learning to build new Features when they get to the moderate level.

We want to see more people sharing their features like http://drupal.org/project/cm_profile that @stefanwray developed for channelAustin and the Accordion View in the civicrm_multiday_event_type feature in https://drupal.org/project/civicrm_multiday_event that @avguy developed for AccessVision.

Just like the goal of a community media organizations should be to convert passive viewers into active makers, I'd like to make that the goal of #cmdrupal as well.
