I would like to show the result of a view on the user alert block. Is it directly possible without embedding the view on a node etc?

May become a reality in 2.x branch. Let me think on good ways of implementing this.

This may be possible in 2.x since I am making UA a fieldable entity with types. Just throwing in a View Reference or other Reference type fields would do this.
