Forum import does not import threads and posts

Description

When importing the forums, only the forum titles are imported, the threads and individual posts are not imported. Also, when you accidentally run forum import more than once, all the forum titles are duplicated. Check http://psp.killeroid.com/?q=forum to see what I mean.

Did you import the users first?

And yes, if you run the import scripts multiple times you will end up with duplicated data.

Hello there,

I have got the same trouble. I HAVE imported the users first and thereafter the forum. But I cannot find the threads and post. Do you know what I have done wrong perhaps?

Can you please check the exact version of the Xoops forum module?

Also, did the forum import end properly? If you have a large forum then the script could time out. The browser would either give you an error message or you end up with a blank page.

I will also run some more tests.

Hello Mariuss,

Thanks for you quick reply! If you mean xoops forum: I am running XOOPS 2.0.17 and NewBB 2.01

I did not get a time-out message or anything like that. The import of the forum was done very quickly, took only a second until I saw which messages were imported.

I hope that you can help me with this, I am fed up with Xoops and can't wait working with Drupal!

Ciao,

Marc

Marc,

I just checked and the version of newbb I am using is 2.0, there could be a difference in the schema of the databases. Can you please send me an export of the schema only of all the xoops_bb_* files?

Do you know how to do that with phpMyAdmin?

I'll contact you offline.
