I'm running Drupal 4.7 and I have views, panels and views bonus installed. I'm almost where I'd like to be with this.

First of all, if you know of a theme that works better with this format, please point me in that direction. What I want to do is remove the part where it says 'Shawn's Blog' on each post. I just want it to have the comments link. Then, I want to shorten the frontpage entries to a photo and a few lines of text with a 'read more' link to a full post. Is this possible? I know I can hide things under a more tag but is there any other way? And finally, sorry for the onslaught here, I would love to add in my own banner. Problem is, changing that header image seems to be a pain. Any ideas on making it a little less painless? I'd like to keep the top black section with the 'home' 'forum' etc. etc. and replace the red with a banner logo but I think it's all one image repeated.
