Hi,
I'm building a fairly standard corporate brochure type site, with a few database areas.

There will be:
standard static content pages

+ database areas:
services - text content for services company offers
service category - text category for a service to belong to
offices - list of company offices, each office can offer services (many to many)
faqs - each FAQ can be tagged with services and be displayed along with those services
jobs - job vacancies, each job tied to one office

Can drupal handle this type of thing, and is it a good choice for what I am trying to do? Normally I would just custom write the PHP for something like this.

That's perfectly feasible in drupal.

not to mention MUCH easier than trying to code all that php from scratch!

I actually just finished creating 3 sites with about the same functionality in drupal, and it took me about 4 days to do each, including theming. Once you get familiar with drupal, sites like those will be a breeze!
