I am using colorbox with both tick boxes on the config page ticked but whichever url I put as a link it fails to load the content with the error above.

Please can you confirm what I am doing wrong or what I can change.

Thanks for the reply - the page I am testing can be found here http://origination.ozones.co.uk/work/film
Its the first link (red background pic) that should link to the youtube vid - when i try the link in a browser its fine.

might be a silly suggestion, but did you try with the complete www.youtube.com link instead of the short youtu.be link?

I haven't I must admit but I did just try a link like bbc.co.uk or google.com and it always gives the same result

I will when I do more investigation. Unfortunately I was on a tight deadline and the fault could not be found and he hence I switched to a different popup solution and hence dropped colorbox. However I do prefer its interface. I will try it again when a deadline is not looming and post the fix if I find it

are you using an iframe which you need to when loading an url

normal colorbox, 1.4, fails loading on users other than user 1, with:

media-7.x-2.0-unstable7
file_entity-7.x-2.0-unstable7

used to work with unstable6 (sometimes it would fail).

oh, i've manually cleared all cache tables and style caches.

the files load flawlessly on nodes, views and with URL.
they just don't anymore on colorbox.

also tested with colorbox-7.x-2.0, same result.
Using Media Colorbox. will try Colorbox alone.

update:
works fine for me if just using Views + Colorbox, and not including Media Colorbox in the mix (views loads media colorbox, which loads media and colorbox).
