Issue Summary

In the upper left corner of my Drupal site (www.team8w.com) I have a standard search box.

I have installed the Amazon tools module, and thought that this would add Amazon search functionality to the search box.

So far, the only way I seem to be able to search Amazon is via search/amazon. Is there a way to make the standard search box perform a search both of nodes AND Amazon simultaneously?

Forgive me if this is an obvious question: I've searched for an answer but can't seem to find one. Thanks!

Bump. Any thoughts?

I doubt it's possible since you're searching two completely different spaces, although I'm not enough of a coder to know. However, if you import amazon nodes into your content, they will be included in your standard site search, so that's at least a compromoise and the inclusions will be relevant since you hand-picked 'em.

It's theoretically possible to modify the code to do this, but it doesn't happen at the moment. The maintainer doesn't do feature requests; your options are to code the changes yourself, or to hire someone to do it.

Tip: If you select one of the two options above, do your best to get the changes contributed back to the community, because otherwise, every time there's an upgrade, you'll have to modify your changes again to work with it.

HTH,
