Sorry for such an elementary thing but I have not patched anything before and there is probably a rookie mistake here.
I copied the text of drupal.links-active-trail.51.patch and put it in a file and uploaded to server. I put it in the right directory and ran a patch command using normal syntax.
I got a hunk and the message that the patch unexpectedly ends in the middle of a line. Further information was Hunk #1 failed at 1678. 1 out of 1 failed.
The command I used was patch –p1 < drupal.links-active-trail.51.patch.
Since I took the text of the patch right out of the page and ran as prescribed any clue what is wrong here?
The text of the patch is cut and pasted directly into a file called drupal.links-active-trail.51.patch.
