Overview

@jredding needs a saupaoulo2012.drupal.org D7 production site spun up ASAP for the DrupalCon Sao Paolo conference, including the new custom "tao_paulo" theme. You can find the theme tarball at http://base7.magicspark.net/sites/all/themes/taopaulo.tar.gz (Thanks, Jason Chinn!)

Level Of Effort

It is estimated to take 1-2 hours to complete this task.

Adding the files that Jacob forwarded to me from Jason Chinn, who gets credit for the theme.

Also, Jacob had Tyler work on this a bit Friday. I don't think that will affect my work since I'll be setting up a fresh site, making sure bakery works, etc. I know this may seem "simple," but it could easily take more than an hour.

If we have a fresh site installed, there are only a few things that need to exist on it (aside from d.o requirements):

  • Webform module
  • Tao base theme
  • tao_paulo sub theme
  • Content translation
  • three nodes of content
  • one webform (call for papers)

Since there are only 4 content elements, I think re-creating them by hand is just fine.

Title: Create new D7 dev site for DrupalCon Sao Paulo » Create new D7 production site for saopaulo2012.drupal.org
Component: redesign.drupal.org » Other

It's not a dev+staging site. It's a production site. Editing the summary to reflect this new fact.

clarifying request

Let me know if you need any tweaks, please be sure to install this as well: http://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/tao-7.x-3.0-beta4.tar.gz

Just for quick clarification. We want a D7 site on saopaulo2012.drupal.org so we can edit the page, modify the contents, and run a multilingual site.

In Mid-August this site will move to COD when that project is fully ported to Drupal 7.

http://saopaulo2012.staging.devdrupal.org/ is ready for configuration. I made twardnw and myself admins of the site. For others, please provide their username.

For going live:

  • Copy staging DB to live
  • Run deploy job
  • Make sure bakery is working, updating init for existing users
  • Jenkins jobs: snapshot and snapshot_to_staging

Remaining from Tyler's checklist:

  • Content translation (I wasn't sure if this was a module and/or content)
  • three nodes of content
  • one webform (call for papers)

It sounds that the Content translation item on the checklist refers to both enable the module (i18n) and translate the content. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

gábor hojtsy’s picture

Content translation is a core module, it does not require the contrib i18n module per say. Probably better specs of what is needed would be good.

twardnw’s picture

Sorry, it is the Content Translation core module, we already have the content in each language.

We need to be able to offer the front page in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. The Call for Papers webform does not need to be translated.

twardnw’s picture

We have all the content and modules in place for the Sao Paulo site, it is ready to replace the current site.

drumm’s picture

The live site is now up. Leaving this open and assigned to me to be sure we have DB snapshots working for refreshing staging and dev sites. (A Drupal.org snapshot is keeping our build executor busy for a few more hours, and we don't do those concurrently.)

Sao Paulo is now set up like all other sites hosted on Drupal.org, dev and staging are working.

Awesome, thanks Neil.
