Issue Summary
I have tried a couple of times to go step-by-step through the README file instructions, but always hit a brick wall on the very last item 2. d). As follows:
d. On the hub site, create a new group for the site.
Under Create content, select the 'Site' content type. You will get a select
box for Site prefix. Select the prefix you gave to the new site.
That's it!
I cannot for the life of me find this select box. Making a new group at this stage simply makes what appears to be a normal OG group. Nothing links to the client site.
Here's a rough Idea of what I did to this point:
The Hub Site:
1. Install new Drupal instance in var/www/drupal_5. Set database prefix to "hub_".
2. Upload Views, OG, and OG_Site to var/www/drupal_5/sites/all/modules.
3. Activate Views, OG, And OG Sites Hub (OG Sites is not enabled here)
The Client Site:
4. Install new Drupal instance in var/www/drupal_5b. Use same database as above and set database prefix to "redrisk_"
5. Upload Views, OG, and OG_Site to var/www/drupal_5/sites/all/modules.
6. Activate Views, OG, And OG Sites (OG Sites Hub is not enabled here)
7. Goto Administer->Organic Groups>Organic Group Sites. Select data types to share. I only see Story and User. I want both so both are checked. Click Save Settings.
Back in the Hub Site:
8. Goto to Create Content>Site
9. This is where I get lost. I am shown a normal OG Groups page with no select box for selecting my client site prefix.
Have I messed something up in the instructions? Is CCK required for that select box? I've tried 4 times now with the same result and I'm assuming I've misunderstood the directions otherwise someone else would have asked by now.
Cheers
Aaron

As a follow up, I check the table "hub_og_sites" in the database. It is empty.
Note that when installing on the client site, I got all green messages including something like "Registered with hub site".
Also, the table "hub_node" has two records in it. Both are of type "og_site" although the first one (nid 1) does not have a title.

Ooops...

Hmmm, after a bit of play it started working for me. Try submitting the various og config forms. (It might need to set some variables before it works properly).
