Issue Summary
Hi!
I really love your module. Many thanks for your work, and for current new verson with fixed bugs.
I used it before, now I completly redesigned our user profile using node profile module,
so I really appreciate if there will be option using node profile Date field instead standard profile date field.
This is with focus on drupal developing, because standard drupal profile is really old and it offer really too little options for nice user profile.

it is not critical, but it will be really useful.

This might indeed be a nice option(!), but for now I will focus on bugs and testing, and then I'll see which new features will get priority. We'll also will have to see how the profile module will be in Drupal 6 and 7.
If someone else is up for it, don't hesitate to contribute!

Birthdays uses it's own fieldtype in 7.x, so it's fixed there. I won't backport it, so won't fix, I guess - although I am open for contributions, too, so if someone writes a patch it might go in ...
