Customizing the Admin Toolbar (CiviCRM)
The step-by-step instructions for modifying the Admin Toolbar are available in the Easy section of the documentation.
One reason to Customize the Admin Toolbar is usability. When you try to add every possible option at the highest level the Admin Toolbar ends up wrapping and isn't covered by CiviCRM's admin options.
Where did the CiviCRM admin menu I had in D6 go?
If you used Drupal and CiviCRM in Drupal6, you may notice that the CiviCRM admin menu normally found at the furthest right is missing after enabling CiviCRM in D7. In D7, CiviCRM places that menu in the Navigation menu instead of the Management menu.
To move the menu from the Navigation menu to the Management menu, follow these setps.
- Open Admin -> Structure -> Menus
- Next to Navigation, click list links
- Click Edit next to CiviCRM
- Chang the Parent link to:
<Management>
-- Administration - Change the Weight to +50
- Save the changes to the Menu item
