I humbly suggest renaming the module so that the name more clearly reflects the function of this great module. "Jan's node" doesn't clearly convey what the module does. While you have made it possible to change how some parts of the module display, the term "janode" persists, obfuscating the connection for site maintainers who might not be programmers.
Ideas: "Web Links", "Bookmarks", "External Links"
I took the liberty on my own copy to rename it "External Links Manager", with a change in table name, module name and content type to "xlinks" (to make it easier for others to recognize the module elements), which appears to work. I hesitated to do this, as the module is not mine to modify. If you think this would be useful, I can forward my edited version as a patch for consideration.
