In internet explorer, the theme doesn't appear to show the css formatting. The fastest illustration will probably be the website itself:

This is a production site, so I'll actually just attach a screenshot here while we temporarily switch to another theme.

I think This is problem with HTML5Shiv.. As this theme is HTML5.. Many Semantic Markup tags are used.. Has to check whether the HTML5Shiv is working in your site..
I also think Some other issue was there in the site for IE Site Loading Failure.

Check the site by Clearing the cache and disable the cache and CSS & JS Aggregation.. Disable the SuperFish Menu module..

This Theme is working in 1000's of sites with out any problem..
