compatibility with sliderfield

Hi,
Thanks for this very important module.
Im using sliderfield together with editablefields: the goal is to have a nice user interface to change the value of some grades on different nodes in views, using a slider.
When I change the value of the field, the slider moves and the field is saved.
Unfortunately, when I change the slider (and the value of the field updates accordingly), the value change is not saved (automatically, nor with the 'save' button of editablefields).
Any way to solve this, ie when moving the slider, editablefields understands the field value has been changed, and saves the update?
I dont know if this is an editablefield issue or sliderfield, I'd say I would have the same issue coding my own jquery to get a slider and using editablefields, so more of an editablefields 'issue' (or help request..).
