Can this module be used on custom form?

Hi everyone,

I have a custom form that requires user to enter url, page title and description. The page is simply www.mywebsite.com/form. The url is given an input id "edit-url-field" .. I am just wondering if this module can prepopulate such field?

I tried http://www.mywebsite.com/form?edit[url-field]=Automatic filled in URL but it doesn't fill anything.
