Description

as admin i uploaded pages..but they dont appear at all...only i can c it..
i think it has something to do with the weight being -15...not sure..becoz..after a full cycle of -15 to +15...the next ones are usually 15..15..like that..and they show..

once i change the weights in the Outline..the pages show..

i have books with lots of pages...wld prefer if i can start with -50 or something..is there some way to do that..and ensure that pages are not hidden ..

thanks

The -15 to 15 range is what the book module uses, so that can't be changed. I doubt the weight of the page has anything to do with this problem. It is some kind of permission problem that is solved when the pages are manually edited. To test that, try to edit the page without making the change and see if that also works.

I'm guessing you are using some kind of access control (like taxonomy access) that doesn't get set until you edit the page. Maybe the parent page you are doing this from is a restricted page and the child pages this creates are picking up those restrictions. Or vice versa. Or something.

I don't know what to suggest. It would be very hard to rewrite this module to test all the access control systems and try to figure out what each of them is looking for. This should work fine for creating public pages, but may just not work if you are creating pages that use access control.
